I like this boy. He and I are really good friends, I’d say. We talk on the phone almost every single night, we text all the time, etc. However, when we’re on the phone or it’s us alone, we flirt a lot and he compliments me all the time (“cute”, “gorgeous”, etc.). A few times he has even told me he “wants to kiss me”. However, one night when we were texting and on the phone at the same time because we’re weird, I guess, and he was heavily flirting with me, I did something stupid and asked him that for someone he claims to see as a sister, he sure doesn’t act like it. He, in response, tries to avoid my questions and tells me he’s “confused”. Eventually after a long discussion at four in the morning, it turns out that the girl he used to like (who does not like him back) … he STILL likes but, he always used to tell me he no longer liked her. In addition, apparently he used me to get over her. However, he continued to claim that he does/did like me but, because he likes this other girl too (probably moreso than he likes me), he doesn’t want to get with me. So, for a couple of days, I didn’t talk to him very much, no matter how many times he apologized and said he wanted to be friends. Then, when we finally sort of started to talk again, I didn’t really mean to… but in math class one day, he kept trying to get me to sit next to him and I told him to come sit by me, instead, and while he was in the middle of talking, the boy behind me caught my attention so I turned to him, leaving my friend sort of trailing off. He, then, asked some other girl to sit next to him, whatever, I know they’re friends. Later that day, however, he randomly texted me to tell me about another girl and that something bad has happened to her. Well, one, it’s not any of my business to know about this girl’s business and two, I don’t even know her well. So, I was just like, oh that sucks and was like, whatever. However, then he’s like “omg, I love her! She’s so cute!” …. Okay. And, then, he starts talking about another girl and he’s like “I love me some [insert her name here]”. Um. Okay. Was he trying to make me jealous, or something, after what happened in math? After that, we were weird again for a couple of days but, we would still text and maybe call. Then, we both decided we’d “go back to normal” and I guess that included flirting because we’ve been doing it again. However, now he treats me like I’m fragile, saying things like “I don’t want to hurt you”, “I shouldn’t be flirting with you”, etc. However, I do LIKE flirting with him, even though I know he likes another girl (which is stupid because she still doesn’t like him!). But, he had told me that he did like me and he has also lied to me a bit, so I don’t know. I don’t know what to do with this kid…? Should I stop talking to him as much? It would be hard because I like talking to him and we talk pretty much every night till it’s like 2 in the morning. And, does he even really like me? He still tells me things like, he “wants to kiss me” and compliments me… and, I guess I’m just really confused as to what to make of him. I know he’s just a stupid flirt and I know I need to get over him and find another guy but then, I don’t know. Haha. I don’t know! Thanks. :]

Get over him. He’s just going to keep flirting with you and leading you on, and I know you like it, but at some point. You are going to get fed up and want something much more than you guys have at this point. I know he’s a great friend of yours, but you’re just going to end up getting hurt. Try to cut down on talking to him, I don’t want you to be hurt. I hope the input of me being a stranger helped in anyway. Don’t give into him. He’s just playing you.

You need to set goals and write down your priorities. Set a date for each goal so that you will have a clear idea of what and when something needs to be accomplished. Have a to-do list. List everything in order of importance. What need to get done now? What can wait? You need to make daily list of things that must be accomplish in that day. You also need to have weekly and monthly to-do lists. Set a block of time for some specific tasks each day. Determine how long will you work on each task and how long will you take a break. An example would be: a 45 minutes work time and a ten minutes break after that. It is crucial that you stick to the timetable. It might be difficult in the beginning, but after a while it will get better. Identify which task is more important to achieving your goal. Do the most important task first. Delegate tasks to someone else who has the time and the expertise. Do not become jack of all trades. Do things that you like and are good at. Get someone else to things you dislike, as long as it is within your budget. Keep everything organized. How often have you wasted your time finding something you need but could not find just because your desk was so disorganized? If there is a big project, slice it into chunks so that you will not be overwhelmed by the size of the project. Write down the pros and cons of why you should or should not do what is on the list. This will enable you to remove unnecessary task from your list. Don’t over commit. Learn to say *No*. Don’t procrastinate. Just do it. Deal effectively with interruptions. Schedule a time when you will only do the task you set out to do without being sidetrack by interruptions. Reward yourself when you accomplish the task you set out to do.
